ONLINE COOKIES
Cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies (hereinafter: cookies) are used to improve the user experience. Cookies are used on the websites and in the services of Superos Fund Management, upravljavec alternativnih investicijskih skladov, d.o.o. (hereinafter referred to as “SUPEROS”), such as the user portal and methods of purchase and payment. This cookie statement explains how cookies are used and what options the user has regarding their use. SUPEROS kindly asks that you also review the SUPEROS Privacy Statement regarding how users’ personal data is handled.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files made up of letters and numbers. They are sent from SUPEROS servers or our partners’ servers and stored on the user’s device, as described below. Several types of cookies are used:
- Session cookies are temporary files that expire when you close your browser or application,
- Persistent cookies are files that remain stored until you delete them or they expire,
- First-party cookies are cookies set by the website you are visiting,
- Third-party cookies are cookies set by third-party websites.
A web beacon is a small, transparent graphic image that we may include in an email we send to you.
»Similar technologies« are technologies that store information in the browser on the user’s device, similar to cookies and web beacons.
Cookies allow the SUPEROS website and services to remember the user’s actions and preferences (e.g. login details, language, text size and other preferences) for a longer period of time, so that they do not have to be re-entered each time the user moves from one page to another.
Why are cookies used?
Cookies are commonly used to improve the services offered by SUPEROS. Some cookies are essential for the operation of SUPEROS’s services, while others simply ensure that the user can use these services more smoothly and easily. In general, cookies are classified and used as described below.
- Required cookies are essential to provide you with our basic services, e.g. to enable you to use the payment method on our user portal. Without these cookies, our services cannot function.
- Optimization cookies provide us with high-level analytical data about your use of our services. They allow us to continuously improve our products and are therefore essential. Without these cookies, our products would function less smoothly or less optimally.
- Preference cookies allow us to store your preferences, e.g. your language selection or enabling automatic data completion. Without these cookies, we cannot offer you personalized services according to your preferences. These cookies are necessary for the best possible user experience, which is one of the basic goals of our services.
- Security cookies ensure the security of services and data; they help, for example, in detecting fraud and protecting the user’s personal data. As this is a crucial aspect of the services, these cookies are necessary for their operation.
- Marketing cookies are explained below.
Marketing cookies
SUPEROS uses marketing cookies to personalize and improve the user experience on the SUPEROS website, in marketing emails and in third-party advertising.
- Marketing automation: Cookies from the marketing automation platform improve the relevance of communication with the user. With the help of personal data that the user voluntarily provides, e.g. in forms on the website, SUPEROS can provide more relevant information on its website and in other advertising messages.
- Analytics: Analytical cookies collect information about how users interact with the website and user portal, which are more intended to provide information about broader communication patterns than about the behavior of a single user. We use this data to improve the user experience on the website and user portal.
- Advertising: Online advertising cookies collect information about the user’s activity and demonstrated interest on the website, which enables the display of relevant targeted ads in third-party channels (search engines, social media and ad display networks).
Cookies that are used
Due to possible updates to this Cookie Statement, the user is asked to review it periodically to learn how cookies are used. If the user wants a detailed overview of all cookies that are used, as well as important information regarding them (e.g. what they are for and how long we keep them), they should click on (cookie list).
Is my data from cookies transferred to third countries?
Superos reserves the right to transfer data obtained on the basis of cookies to third countries that are not member states of the European Union. Based on advertising cookies, data may be transferred to the United States of America, for which the European Commission has, in accordance with Article 45. GDPR has already determined an adequate level of personal data protection (the user can read more about this on the following website: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/SL/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32023D1795). For the transfer of personal data to other third countries, Superos ensures the existence of appropriate safeguards for the protection of personal data in accordance with the law.
How can I adjust my consent to cookies?
The user can adjust their previously given consent for cookies at any time by clicking on the round icon in the lower left corner, which says »GDPR«. The user can click on the »custom selection« button on the banner that opens at the bottom of the screen, where they can activate and deactivate various categories of cookies as desired.
How can I control how SUPEROS uses cookies?
The user’s browser or device usually supports settings regarding the use and scope of cookies, and regarding cookies that are currently stored. For more information on how to use these settings, the user can read the instructions for their browser or device (and visit aboutcookies.org for more information). For example, the user can block all cookies or accept only cookies from the website, or delete all cookies when they close their browser.
